The “Paint the Picture, Make It Clear” 2023 Grand Youth Conference was designed to encourage youth to envision their future goals and aspirations while developing leadership and communication skills. Through workshops and engaging activities, participants explored ways to turn their ideas and dreams into achievable plans. The conference featured a Shark Tank-style presentation, poster contest, and oratorical competition, allowing youth to showcase creativity, innovation, and confidence. This experience empowered participants to clearly define their ambitions while strengthening their critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership abilities.

The “We Will Win” 2024 Youth Grand Session provided youth with an inspiring educational journey focused on history, culture, and leadership. Participants visited the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument, where they learned about the legacy and courage of a key leader in the Civil Rights Movement, and explored the Two Mississippi Museums to gain a deeper understanding of Mississippi’s history. The day also included a fellowship picnic at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park and a visit to the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum, giving youth the opportunity to learn, connect with one another, and be inspired by the strength and resilience of those who paved the way before them.

The “Planting My Seed” 2025 Youth Grand Session introduced youth to the world of agriculture and the importance of sustainable farming through a hands-on learning experience. Participants visited the Black-owned Foot Print Farms, where they learned about planting, crop growth, and the role agriculture plays in supporting communities. College agriculture departments also engaged with the youth by demonstrating modern farming technology, including drones used in agricultural research and crop management. Through interactive activities, education, and fun outdoor experiences, the program encouraged youth to appreciate agriculture while planting seeds of knowledge, curiosity, and future career possibilities.
